We met a quarter of a century ago and have wandered down so many roads together.

Half of our daily walks have been spent dreaming about where our next adventure might take us. Our imagination has always fueled our curiosity and our longing for more—and that spirit of adventure is why you’ve held my heart all these years.
Your passion for life, for more good food, another pair of shoes, louder laughing and fast driving is why you are so infectious to people. You are magnetic and are so full of love and warmth. People feel safe and tend to open up to you about many of life's challenges. You have always been a fantastic listener, a magnificent friend, a quality not always easy to find.

I have felt so so loved all these years and am damn lucky we have each other.

There is no doubt it has been a little rough these past couple of years, and these last few months it has hit it's peak. My body is telling me to reset, to take a break and I've collapsed in a way I never thought possible.

BUT there you are right by my side, as strong as one could ask for.
You remind me everyday this isn't forever and that I am healing.
You let me know adventure is ahead and that there are so many more miles to travel and countless new chapters waiting to be imagined and created together.
You open a jar, lift something heavy for me, kiss my check, tell me I am powerful and continue without a glitch.

It's your birthday today and somehow it feels like mine! It feels like 51 years ago today you were born especially for me!
