Whew, it was a hot one out there yesterday! ☀️🥵 But thanks to everyone keeping things moving, we managed to beat the weather and wrap up the final classes just after 1:00 PM—right as the thunder started rumbling in the distance! ⚡️🙏

🐴✨ Fix-a-Test Fun at Deer Meadow Farm! ✨🐴

Clear skies, a cool breeze, and a packed house! 😍 We had an amazing turnout on June 20th, with every single chair along the C-end of the arena filled. Everyone was eager to soak up some serious dressage "gems" from the phenomenal USEF “S”-rated judge, Margaret Freeman! 💎🏅

The biggest takeaway of the day? Good horsemanship always comes first. 🐴❤️ Margaret reminded us all to put the horse's well-being ahead of the test sheet—do what benefits your horse in that exact moment.

💡 The Big "Lightbulb" Moment 💡

The award for the biggest question mark of the day went to... the half-halt! 🛑🐎

So many riders ration their half-halts like they’re running out of supply! Margaret dropped a truth bomb that had the auditors buzzing: Half-halts are freely renewable! 🔁 Treat them like a buffet—don't be afraid to go back for seconds (or thirds!).

🌧️ Rain? What rain? 🌧️

Well, Saturday was definitely wet, but hey—absolutely no one could complain about it being dusty! 😂🚜

A massive shout-out to our incredible volunteers and amazing riders who showed up, toughed it out, and proved that equestrians don't melt! From Intro all the way through Grand Prix, you all walked, trotted, and passaged your way through the downpour like absolute champions. 🏆✨

The best part of the day? The vibes. We heard plenty of laughter, some sweet words of consolation, and during the absolute worst of the deluge, one rider won the positivity award by saying: "We need the rain. If it took a horse show to get it, I am not going to complain!" 🪵🌧️ That’s the spirit!

Sure, a few folks chose to stay dry and scratch, but overall we had a fantastic turnout. In fact, one of our judges couldn't believe her eyes! She kept remarking on how incredible it was to see so many dedicated riders out there giving it their all despite the weather. 😲👏
