My Story

Veterinary Orthopedic Surgeon, Speaker, Author, Researcher, Co-Founder/Co-Directory of the Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute (VSMRI).

Primary Focus: Clinical practice with a sole emphasis in veterinary orthopedics and sports medicine utilizing minimally invasive techniques.

Additional Focus: Providing continuing education to veterinary practitioners, specialists, technicians, and rehabilitation therapists, in addition to teaching orthopedic focused laboratories. Dr. Dycus is commonly asked to speak throughout the United States as well as international. Along with speaking Dr. Dycus is also involved with writing scholarly research manuscripts as well as non-peer reviewed papers. His primary area of research involves osteoarthritis as well as biomechanical orthopedic studies.

In 2017 the Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute (VSMRI) was founded by Dr. Dycus and Dr. David Levine. VSMRI is a subscription based service providing an online easily accessible platform for like minded rehabilitation and sports medicine individuals to improve patient care. VSMRI contains surgical and rehabilitation videos to help the rehabilitation therapist direct patient specific care to rehabilitate specific tissues, in addition the most commonly encountered orthopedic issues are covered.
