Job Summary

Tri-State 1 Protective Services is currently seeking experienced security professionals with active Maryland Guard Cards and Maryland Handgun permits for a commercial contract. Candidates must also pass all applicable background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities and Duties

General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Securing premises and personnel by ensuring the safety of employees and customers
Monitoring surveillance equipment
Observing shoppers and identifying any irregular activity
Deterring and apprehending shoplifters
Providing customer service when necessary
Handling crisis and emergency situations with confidence in accordance with post orders, ensuring all safety and emergency procedures are followed
Regulating access and egress activities
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be assertive, intuitive, physically fit, a strong leader, and demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

All candidates should satisfy the following criteria:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Maryland Security Guard License
Maryland Handgun Permit
Access to reliable transportation (this does NOT include public transportation; Metro Bus, Metro Rail)
Prior experience required
NOTE: Any candidate in need of a Maryland Security Guard License or Maryland Wear & Carry Permit may obtain one through our training center. Please submit all training inquiries via email.
