Last December, we shot video and recorded audio for the winter concert of the Ambler Station Singers. Here is the concert finale: a touching arrangement of Silent Night. We had a great time working with this talented group. Two cameras gave us some flexibility with the video, and we captured the audio with just a single stereo pair of Schoeps microphones. We are very pleased with the results. We are looking forward to recording their spring concert in June. Watch this page!

Spent a wonderful afternoon recording the proprietress of Nora Frank's Piano Studio in our studio. I had been close-micing the piano for some time, and had ignored or forgotten how wonderful the space sounds when Nora plays the piano. Having recently been reminded of the great results that can be had by moving away from the instrument, we experimented yesterday with capturing the piano with just a pair of Schoeps omni microphones placed 8 feet away and 8 feet up. The results speak for themselves. Let me know what you think.

Went back to the archives for this weekend's project. Re-mastered a demo disc I recorded for a string quartet I play in. Then found a few appropriate images so I could turn the audio files into videos and upload them to YouTube. Now the demos will be available instantly and any time for potential clients to listen to. I had a lot of fun. Here is a brief sample. Enjoy!
