Our hearts go out to the lost child and the whole family facing this unthinkable loss.
This was a preventable tragedy. It's an open secret that the city of Lansing doesn't enforce its rental registration requirement. This allows negligent landlords to avoid inspections. This is the consequence. Tenant protections are a matter of life and death. The city of Lansing must take action so no other family has to suffer like this.
