There's not much to be said that hasn't already been said. If you were not fortunate enough to have your life directly impacted by this man's presence you could bet there was an indirect one. A true definition of an authentic man and a legend. You will be missed by so many.

Legendary Lansing Everett basketball coach Johnny Jones passes away Jones led Everett's basketball teams to three state titles in the early 2000s.

Alright it's that time of year for us!!

The season is just around the corner. This is a community type program for Lansing in partnership with Lansing Parks and Recreation that will play in the Mid-Michigan Pony League. This season we are looking to have three age groups and we will be holding a tryout for each age group in February.

Practices will start in March with games starting at the end of April and go through the end of June.

Cost for the season is $200.

Tryouts are FREE to register and attend.

Tryouts:
10u February 10th 6-8 pm.

12u February 17th 6-8 pm.

14u February 24th 6-8 pm.

All tryouts will be held at Gier Community Center on the North end of Lansing.

Calling all kids ages 7-14: The Lansing Parks and Recreation is hosting an MLB Pitch Hit & Run event at Ferris Park on July 18th!

Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run is a free event that provides boys and girls -- ages 7 to 14 -- an opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills, while earning a chance to attend and perform during the MLB World Series!

Athletes are tested, and their measurements are recorded. Based on their scores, they advance from a local event to a regional competition held at Comerica Park. Top scores then qualify for an all-expenses-paid trip for two to compete at Finals, which is hosted at the World Series.
