Sometimes what we call “bad behavior” is really a child’s unmet need rising to the surface. Silence isn’t always peace, and rebellion isn’t always defiance—it can be hurt, uncertainty, or a quiet cry for love and attention. Many children don’t have the words to say “I feel unseen,” so they show it the only way they know how.
Before leading with correction, remember you were once a child too—needing patience, understanding, and love. Jesus welcomed children with compassion, not shame. If we reflect Him, our homes should be places where children feel safe, known, and deeply loved.
“Let the little children come to me.” Matthew 19:14
"Let mothers come to Jesus with their perplexities. They will find grace sufficient to aid them in the management of their children... He who said, “Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not,” still invites the mothers to lead up their little ones to be blessed by Him. Even the babe in its mother’s arms may dwell as under the shadow of the Almighty through the faith of the praying mother... If we will live in communion with God, we may expect the divine Spirit to mold our little ones, even from their earliest moments. – {DA 512.3}
Reflect His love in your home today, where children feel seen, heard, and loved by God through you.

Some homes look complete on the outside, yet feel quietly empty within. Conversations grow shorter, laughter fades, and silence takes its place. But even in those moments, hope is not lost. God sees what feels distant and broken, and He is able to restore connection, renew love, and bring life back into every corner of our homes. ❤️
