Rodger Meschke has been volunteering with Greater Lansing Food Bank's Garden Project for 3 years, and enjoys helping on plant distribution days at the Resource Center.

"If you've never experienced the idea of watching something grow, harvesting something you've grown yourself and eating it, I don't think there's any other feeling quite like that," Rodger said.

Today's the day! We look forward to seeing you TONIGHT at Garden Tour, from 6 - 8 p.m. Check-in starts at 5:30 and tours depart at 6.

The forecast for this evening is upper 70s and slightly cloudy. Don't forget your water, walking shoes and a light jacket if you would like one. There is also a slight chance for pop-up rain showers as a cool front moves in, so consider bringing an umbrella to be safe!

We look forward to exploring south Lansing's gardening scene with you!
