One message we discuss very frequently in the Nurturing Parenting Program is the concept of Control versus Accountability. Our job as parents is to hold our children accountable for the choices they make while giving them opportunities to make those choices. When we focus too much on control, we are often left feeling more frustrated with our families AND we aren't teaching children how to take control of their own lives. This lesson, and many more, are available to our Eaton County GSRP parents for free.
