Boots on the Ground. Where my tax returns at?

I have been hearing from countless residents from across the State about one issue in particular; for some reason state tax returns are taking forever to receive. That’s why I went to the State Treasury to demand answers!

The good news is that my office is here working for you every day to intake cases and speak directly with the Treasury on your behalf. The bad news is that things are still very delayed with tax return processing.

If you need help getting your tax returns please reach out to my office at [email protected]. We need to know:

1. Your name
2. Your address
3. Best contact email
4. Best contact phone number
5. Adjusted gross income
6. Social security number

If you are in House District 53 (City of Pontiac, Southern Waterford, or the area of Auburn Hills around Great Lakes Crossing), I’m here to help! If you live outside of HD 53 I am more than happy to put you in contact with your representative.

I have my boots on the ground, working toward a brighter Pontiac where more people want to live, work and play. So I'm happy to share that Williams International is expanding and creating new jobs in Pontiac! This investment will help propel innovation and provide good-paying jobs right here at home in Oakland County.

Every family deserves a strong start, and that's exactly what Rx Kids is helping make possible. By giving parents extra support for things like diapers, groceries, rent and other everyday expenses, this program is making a real difference for families with newborns. As Rx Kids expands to more communities across Michigan, even more parents and babies will get the support they need during those important first months. It's great to see a program that's helping families today while investing in Michigan's future.

Happy Freedom Day!

Juneteenth is a day to reflect on where we've been and how far we've come. Today, I think about the generations who came before us and the doors they opened through their courage and sacrifice. I also think about the generations who will come after us and hope they see the progress we made while continuing the journey forward.

Today, we honor the legacy of our ancestors and celebrate the freedom they fought for.

Happy Juneteenth to you and your family!
