Our mission is straightforward, much like ourselves—to gently inspire small acts of goodness.

With Gratitude for a Founding Light 05/14/2025

The For Good Foundation was born from heartbreak—but also from hope. In the days following my father’s sudden passing, a vision began to take shape: one rooted in kindness, community, and quiet acts that make a difference. In those earliest days, when grief was still raw and everything felt uncertain, there were people who showed up and helped lay the foundation—literally and figuratively—for what would become this organization.

Lillian Werbin was one of them.

She not only helped shape the For Good Foundation from day one—with her creativity, clarity, and heart—but she also knew my dad. They shared a deep respect for one another. He admired her thoughtfulness and her conviction. She made him laugh, and he brought out her spark. Their connection was real.

She also formed a special bond with my grandfather, Gene—a man who prized humility, kindness, and community above all else. They shared stories, swapped philosophies on life, and had a way of making each other smile.

Those relationships mattered. And they became part of the emotional fabric of this foundation.

Lillian believes deeply in the idea that goodness doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. That showing up matters. That small acts, done with intention, can leave a lasting mark. She gave her time, her voice, and her care to help bring the For Good Foundation to life in its earliest days. For that, I’ll always be grateful.

As seasons change and the foundation continues forward, I want to take a moment to publicly honor and thank Lillian for her role in getting us here. The early days of any meaningful endeavor are sacred—and the people who help carry the load in those moments deserve to be recognized.

From everyone at the For Good Foundation - thank you, Lillian. Your light helped guide our first steps.
