Behind every strong infant and toddler workforce is a network of professionals committed to supporting the adults who support our youngest children.
This week, Michigan's Infant Toddler Specialists came together for connection, learning, reflection, and collaboration. These dedicated professionals bring expertise, compassion, and relationship-based practices to educators across the state every day.
In infant and early childhood work, we often ask, "Who's holding the baby?" It's an important reminder that children thrive when the adults around them are supported. Michigan's Infant Toddler Specialists help carry that support forward - strengthening relationships, building confidence, and helping ensure that those who care for infants and toddlers never have to do this work alone.
We are grateful for this incredible network and the impact they have on children, families, caregivers, and communities across Michigan.

Research shows that programs using CLASS strategies see stronger child outcomes, including higher engagement, expanded vocabulary, and improved reading and math scores.
Programs looking to add a CLASS lens can use CLASS Dimension Guides for Infant, Toddler, PreK, and K–3 classrooms. These guides explain each dimension, why it matters, and provide clear, practical examples for educators. They’re available at Teachstone.com, on Amazon, or through local GSQ Resource Center.
