Today is National Soil Health Day! Professional agronomists play a critical role in advancing soil health across Michigan. Last week, MABA President Chuck Lippstreu and Michigan Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Program Chair Tim Schaub highlighted those efforts during a presentation to Michigan’s Soil Health Task Force, convened by MDARD. MABA was among the organizations that advocated for the creation of this important state task force in recent years. We appreciated the opportunity last week to provide a CCA program update and discuss how Certified Crop Advisers partner with Michigan farmers to advance on-farm stewardship.
