Rev. David Bigsby dies, well-known pastor fought for social justice - The Lansing Journal The Rev. David Bigsby, a well known and influential leader in the local faith community, died on April 21.

It is with a heavy heart that we solicit your prayers, encouraging words and your love, as Almighty God has called His humble servant home to be with Him. “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” … Psalm 73:26 Please know, The Honorable Reverend David Bigsby transitioned on Tuesday, April 22, surrounded by his family, longtime friends, members of In The Upper Room Ministries, and a host of mighty prayer warriors as he went on to be with God!

We are so grateful for the time our Lord allowed us the privilege to have had Reverend David Bigsby as our Pastor, Spiritual Father, Brother, Friend, the Under Sheppard of In The Upper Room Ministries Missionary Baptist Church, a man of one wife, the beautiful Sister Gloria Bigsby. We are so thankful the for the Salvation of the Lord that has received unto Himself, our beloved Pastor! We will miss his smile, his soft-spoken voice, his temperament, his council, his biblical teachings under his Pastorate and so much more! Our beloved Pastor rests in the land of “No More…. No more hugs, no more bills, no more dinners, no more of the physical.” He’s gone up a little higher, and is walking those streets of gold! He and First Lady Bigsby are dancing for God in their love for each other. Although, we love our Pastor, but God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost has him now. Please support the family and continue to pray for one another. We shall remain Committed to Glorifying God just as our beloved Pastor, the esteemed, humble, honorable, Holy Spirit filled Man of God, Pastor David Bigsby, taught us to do!
