St. David's Episcopal Church

We could not be more pleased to welcome local poet and author Sarah Carson as this week's Community Forum presenter! Sarah will be joining us for a reading of her selected works, as well as for a brief Q+A.

Sarah Carson is the author of the poetry collections Buick City (Mayapple Press, 2015), Poems in Which You Die (BatCat Press), and How to Baptize a Child in Flint, Michigan (2022), winner of the 2021 Lexi Rudnitsky Editor’s Choice Award from Persea Books. Her work has appeared in The Slowdown, Guernica, Prairie Schooner, Copper Nickel, and New Ohio Review, among other outlets. She has received grants and prizes from Tin House, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, and she was a finalist for the Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation.

All Community Forums are open to the public and begin at about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Welcome, Sarah!

Today at St. David's Episcopal Church we were doubly blessed! Father Joe's son CJ recieved a special prayer for his 5th birthday, and we welcomed baby David to our congregation for the very first time.

St. David's is proud to be a church home for families of all shapes and sizes. When you come to St. David's, you will hear children running and laughing and crying and crunching snacks in the pews to their heart's content! We are blessed indeed to be surrounded by so much joyful noise.
