Hi everyone, I want to introduce myself and thank you for following our business page! My name is Joel Gillard and I’m the proud new owner of Michigan Tent and Party Rentals.

I grew up in the East Lansing/Okemos area and have always dreamed of owning my own business. As a Okemos High School graduate, I’ve been working at MTPR for over five years. When my mentor and now business partner, Todd Derby offered me the opportunity to purchase the business, I jumped at the chance!

Aside from the opportunity to own, operate, and grow my own business, the thing I enjoy most about this company is how we are able to provide stress-free event services for so many special occasions. From grad parties and weddings to athletic and corporate events, we help bring people together to make lasting memories. Does it get any better than that?

This is our 40x40 tent set up with 12 round tables, linens, lights, cocktail tables for a surprise 50th birthday party. Arrived at 330 pm and guests would be arriving at 630... all done and completed in a heavy rain!!
