Summer is almost here! Longer days and new routines bring plenty of chances to strengthen the bond between children and the caring adults in their lives.
Here are a few simple ways families can build strong relationships this season:

• Create small moments of connection. A walk after dinner, reading together, or a few minutes of undivided attention can help kids feel seen and supported.
• Keep communication open. Ask open‑ended questions, listen without rushing, and invite kids to share what’s on their minds.
• Reduce stress where you can. Predictable routines, breaks for caregivers, and simple calming activities help everyone feel more grounded.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised nearly $700,000. These funds go directly to child abuse prevention programs in every Michigan county, strengthening families and building hope.
