As a mom myself, I know that postpartum is not easy. Especially around a week out. While trying to scramble for outfits without spit up on them, that you feel comfortable in, doing your hair and makeup while getting other kids dressed and ready, and ensuring your significant other remembered your newborn photo session was today and to clean out the diaper genie.

Everyone’s journey looks a little different, but I’m here to make them all easier. We will plan the details prior to your due date, so there’s no need to stress after the baby is here. I will be available for anything that needs to be adjusted that day. As always I will arrive 15 minutes early to the session. You’re still getting ready and need toys cleared from the couch? I’ll handle that. You need to do your daughters hair? I’ll start taking detail photos of the star of the show.

There is something incredibly special about capturing the first glimpse of a growing family. Pregnancy announcement sessions hold so much emotion, anticipation, and love — and incorporating ultrasound photos adds such a meaningful storytelling element.

📸 Photographer tip:
When photographing ultrasound images, avoid having parents hold them too far from their bodies. Keep the ultrasound close to the belly or chest to maintain connection and help your camera maintain focus. Also, watch for glare by slightly tilting the photo or adjusting your shooting angle.
