⚠️ ⚠️⚠️Riders be careful. I would avoid this bridge. I let Barry from Genesee County parks know that this bridge needs attention but he said it was fine. Idk if he seen this on inspection but I’m sending him these updated photos.

Even if a leg can’t go through this now, it will eventually have enough wear and tear that it’s going to happen. And unfortunately it’s the only way to get to the other side of the park 😩

Edited to add
Barry said it’s safe. I personally don’t think it is. You can be the judge when you cross it.

I’m not complaining, I’m just warning fellow riders.

I have taken action as well. I have been in contact with Barry. I brought it to his attention. I in no way complained to him.

Yes, railroad ties are huge and thick and will take a while to break down. But when? When will this hole be big enough for a leg to go through and BREAK? My horse isn’t going to be the one to find out

Edited again to add that I just last week started an email chat with Barry. I believe we will get somewhere with him as he has always been very kind to me. I didn’t notice this hole the last time we rode. It was most likely covered up. I’m going to send him these pics and maybe he will go reevaluate the situation here. I’ll keep everyone updated.
