We are honored to have Ms. Sara Abi Villanueva as one of our panelists for the Education session! Going on 15 years, Sara Abi Villanueva has taught English, language arts, and reading at the middle and high school level in the border town of Laredo (Texas). She earned a Master in Science in special education with a concentration in reading this past December from Texas A&M University in Laredo, Texas. She currently serves as an assistant editor for the International Education Inquiries, a series dedicated to realizing the global vision of The United Nations (2015) Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and as a guest assistant editor for the Journal of Multicultural Affairs. Areas of research consist of twice-exceptional students, equitable literacy education, and global citizenship education. She will be starting her doctoral pursuit in Curriculum and Instruction: Language, Diversity, and Literacy Studies this coming fall.

We are beyond excited to announce a rising hero of social entrepreneurship in Latin America! Something amazing is happening tomorrow! Adelante Americas has unified two individuals with similar interests and mindsets to have a conversation about Entertainment and Sustainability! Juan Del Cerro will interview Peter Vesterbacka in a special segment of Emprender en Pijama.
Juan Del Cerro is a promoter of Social Entrepreneurship, he is convinced of the impact social entrepreneurship and innovation have in solving societies’ biggest issues. For more than nine years he has lead organizations focused on solving social issues such as extreme poverty. He is Founder and Director of Disruptivo, an organization focused on empowering a new generation of social entrepreneurs. Juan is also a Founding Partner in the Mexican Association of Entrepreneurs (ASEM), and a Board Member of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Chapter Mexico. He is the author of the book “¿Qué es el Emprendimiento Social?” (What is Social Entrepreneurship?), an interactive guide with the basic information for people interested in this impact model. He is also a professional speaker, with experience promoting social entrepreneurship in four different continents, reaching an audience of over 100,000 people.
