⚠️ FLOOD ADVISORY – RIO GRANDE RIVER ⚠️

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service indicates the Rio Grande is expected to rise significantly this weekend, with moderate to major flooding possible.

Residents along Mines Road and anyone with vehicles, trailers, or 18-wheelers parked near the Rio Grande riverbank are strongly urged to move them to higher ground as soon as possible. Rising water levels may cause flooding in low-lying areas, and vehicles left near the river could become damaged or stranded.

Continue to monitor official updates from the National Weather Service as conditions may change.

Remember: If you encounter flooded roadways, Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Your safety is our top priority.

Bee swarm advisory!

There is a current call by 214 Illinois St. There is a patient who was stung by a swarm of bees by this location. The Laredo Fire Department arrived and were also stung by the bees. Residents are being asked to stay indoors for their own safety while first responders attend to the issue with the bees. Additional information will be made available at a later time. Thank you!
