Today, we took a quick trip to to grab more Solutions brand raw goats milk for the pups and the big dogs.🥛

The dogs have raw goat milk every morning with their breakfast, and they totally love it! 🤤

Let’s talk about cats for a second 🐈

Specifically: cat food

We originally got into raising our pets holistically because of our rescue cats. One had chronic respiratory issues for several years that antibiotics couldn’t cure nor any change in his diet with premade store-bought cat foods.

Then one day, I was telling my naturopath about my cat’s ailments, and she recommended I see a local holistic vet. I never knew this type of vet existed!

I booked an appointment immediately, and she educated us on the pet food industry and how corrupt and unregulated it is, and how so many low-quality ingredients and chemicals are mixed into pet foods that are actively making pets sick.

She also enlightened me on the best store bought and subscription-based pet food brands on the market — but ultimately, nothing compared to human food in terms of nutrition, and the raw food diet trumps all.

Thus we’ve been grinding our own raw meat, bone and organic spinach combination since we brought home Legend, our red Golden, nearly three years ago 🥹🥩

All of the dogs and puppies are on that diet, including now our rescue cat, who had the chronic congestion.

King (pictured) hasn’t taken to the raw diet yet, so he eats canned wild salmon that you can get at a regular supermarket or Wal-Mart. (And it’s sooo much cheaper than human-grade cat food!)

We sprinkle Standard Process’ Organically Bound Minerals on top, so he gets the extra nutrition he needs that the salmon doesn’t have, and he’s one happy kitty 😸

Our other rescue cat’s chronic congestion was cured with Chinese medicinal supplements, a combination of the raw food and salmon diet, and by changing all of our cleaning supplies to non-toxic solutions.
