Tsovaghyugh Armenia Medical Mission!
In Armenia there is a huge disparity in health care based on wealth and geography. Yerevan, the capital, frequently offers the best of western medicine. Rural communities often have little or no access to any health care.
Between July 10-30, 2022, through the auspices of St Hagop Armenian Church, I will be in Armenia on a medical outreach project. I will be working with Dr Armine Barkhudaryan, the head of Traveling Doctors of Armenia, to provide direct patient care to one of these communities, the town of Tsovaghyugh in the provice of Sevan in the Republic of Armenia.
As a recipient of past grants from U.S.A.I.D and the Kellogg Foundation, I have been to Armenia and Brazil on previous medical missions. I clearly understand the difficulties of logistics, culture, religion, politics, and economics.
I am asking for financial support to assist with the purchase of medical supplies, including but not limited to: EKG and Ultrasound machines, medication, IV’s, otoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, and other tools of primary care.
