Greetings Family!

This is your favorite black equestrian Selina Pennie Brown, known widely for being a former co-founding member of The Cowgirls of Color and also the Founder and Executive Director at The STAND Foundation. My love of outdoor sports led me to become a former co-founding member of the all-female, all Black, Cowgirls of Color competitive rodeo team. My dream to see young African American and children of African descent engage with the equestrian community is being realized through The STAND Foundation.

I recently graduated from The HERD Institute® Equine Facilitated Learning program in February 2023. Within this practice, they offer an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy Certification training and I am seeking mental health professionals that would like to learn more about this amazing experiential practice that has been helping people cope and heal for decades.

I am hosting a FREE training event on July 22nd from 10 am - 4pm. Shannon Knapp with Horse Sense of The Carolinas is coming with her team to facilitate this all day training. This equine therapy practice is widely known all over the globe but the presence of black therapists are far and few in between.
Help me change that!
