The final tally of the Rocky Gorge Hall of Fame Class of 2026 spotlights is the binder, Matt “Toad” Carroll! Congratulations to Toad on his playing career and on being selected by his peers to join a group of deserving gentleman!
Before he joined Rocky Gorge, Toad was already a champion, winning a National Championship with Salisbury Rugby in 2004. He came to Rocky Gorge in 2010, winning two National Championships in 2012 and 2014, alongside seven MAC/MARFU titles in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2023.
His leadership and skill are permanently etched into Gorge history. He was Captain from 2013 to 2015, earned Most Outstanding Forward in 2012, represented the Capital Selects side, and the D1 MVP award in 2023.
He is the living embodiment of what makes a Rocky Gorge Rugby Player, both as a competitor and human being. He is one of the most decorated and deserving inductees to enter the Rocky Gorge Hall of Fame.
