Sunrise Project

We are excited to welcome AnnMarie Cometsevah and Calissa Collins to our team! Both are students at Haskell and will be working with us through December for their Community Health internship 🌟 Here are their intros:

Annmarie (photo1): Hello, my name is AnnMarie Cometsevah! I am a sophomore at Haskell Indian Nations University, studying community health. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and dancing at powwows. I am passionate about helping people around me. My future plans are to become an occupational therapist.

Calissa: Hello my name is Calissa! I’m from Oklahoma but came to Lawrence for school! I’m 20 years old, My favorite color is pink, I love to play basketball, i’m very outgoing and love to meet new people!

Welcome to Sunrise AnnMarie & Calissa ❣️

We are so excited to have artist Paul Punzo from at our Sunday Café on July 5th, 1:00-3:00pm! Let’s cut, glue and create together! We will have snacks, drinks, games and community connection❣️ Free and open to all! See you Sunday!

Community meal nights are the best nights! Join us for dinner tonight 5 to 7 PM. We are serving pesto pasta with white beans and veggies, dessert, and drinks. Take it to go or sit and dine with us! All are welcome! We have gluten-free, vegan and kid friendly options as well! Donations accepted, but never required. Can’t wait to see you!
