🐢 Sea turtles have survived for more than 100 million years, but today they face threats unlike any in their history.

50% of marine turtles have ingested plastic or other human rubbish. And the single greatest threat to the survival of many sea turtle populations is incidental capture in fishing gear such as longlines, trawls, and gillnets.

This World Sea Turtle Week and Day, take a moment to learn more about the challenges facing our oceans and the actions we can take to help protect marine life.
