Therapy By Ellisa
Private practice of Ellisa Mimlitsch, LCSW provides direct, skills-based therapy for adults, couples in Leander, TX. Looking for non-clinical wellness?
One thing I’ve learned as both a therapist and a small business owner is that my education prepared me to help people—but it didn’t prepare me to be an entrepreneur.
Graduate school taught me ethics, clinical skills, and all the things we should never do in marketing. What it didn’t teach me was how to build a business, connect with a community, or introduce people to services they’ve never heard of before.
As the owner of both Therapy By Ellisa and The Rejuvenation Vibe Room, I’m constantly learning how to better share what I do and why I’m so passionate about it. Whether it’s helping couples repair intimacy, offering vibroacoustic sound therapy, or introducing halotherapy (salt therapy) to our community, I know these services can make a meaningful difference—but people first have to know they exist.
That’s why I’m spending time learning through the Virtual Wellness Business Summit. Growth never stops, and I believe the best investment I can make is continuing to learn.
If you’re a marketing professional, entrepreneur, or someone who’s successfully grown a small business, I’d love to hear from you. What has been the most valuable marketing lesson you’ve learned? What advice would you give someone trying to introduce a unique wellness service to their community?
Drop your thoughts in the comments—I genuinely love learning from others. 💙

Healing is frustrating sometimes because it’s not linear.
You can have a good week and then suddenly feel triggered again.
You can make progress and still have hard days.
You can outgrow old patterns and still catch yourself slipping back into them sometimes.
That does not mean you’re failing.
Growth is messy.
Healing is layered.
And progress is usually happening long before you fully notice it.
A lot of people quit on themselves because they expected transformation to happen overnight.
But real change?
That takes consistency.
Self-awareness.
Patience.
And honestly, a whole lot of grace toward yourself.
Trust the process even when it feels slow.
Your future self will thank you for not giving up.
