For months, sweet Avia suffered with painful swelling under her eye that just wouldn’t go away. Antibiotics would help for a short time, only for the swelling to return worse each time. Eventually, her veterinarian feared the infection was coming from a cracked tooth root and that she urgently needed more advanced care. 🐾

Her owner, Pamela, is a retired senior living alone on a very limited income. After rescuing Avia from a difficult situation years ago, the two became inseparable. Pamela shared that the thought of losing Avia, or having to rehome her, was absolutely devastating. Avia depends on her for comfort, safety, and love after all she’s been through.
