With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and 3 years of teaching experience, Ms. Raman is passionate about creating a warm and joyful environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.

🍎 Help us give a warm welcome to Mrs. Thorson as she joins BASIS Leander Primary as the first Director of Primary School (K-3)!

"My journey with early childhood education spans 15 wonderful years, during which I have had the privilege of teaching and leading classrooms across the globe—from Arizona and Abu Dhabi to South Korea and Brazil. Guided by a deep passion for teaching, I hold both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, from the University of Arizona and Walden University, respectively. I am passionate about creating a vibrant, supportive, and academically rich environment where our K-3 students can thrive, explore, and build a strong foundation for their future."

Originally from South Africa, Mrs. Peterson had the privilege of working in three different countries over the past 10 years, engaging with a wide range of age groups. She holds a Bachelor's in Education and a Montessori Early Elementary diploma.

We are excited to introduce the newest Charger! ⚡Please welcome to BASIS Leander, Marcus Mouser, teaching 4th through 8th Grade PE.

🏀Mr. Mouser graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2021 with his bachelor’s degree, and this will be his third year with BASIS. He is very excited to be joining the BASIS Leander team after transferring from BASIS Cedar Park.

Mrs. McNeil earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Texas State University and her B.F.A. from the College of Charleston. 🎨🍎 Her background in both education and the arts allows her to bring creativity, critical thinking, and enthusiasm into the classroom each day.

Ms. McGowen has a bachelor's degree in theater from Lamar University, and went to Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles to study and further her knowledge in makeup and creature creation. After working in the film industry, she taught American sign language for 9 years.

Ms. Markus has more than 20 years of teaching experience, bringing passion, dedication, and creativity into the classroom every day. Originally from New York City, she spent many years living in Florida before recently making Texas her home, and her diverse life experiences have helped shape her warm and engaging approach to education.
