🌻 Advance Ballots are on the way 🗳️

📬 This afternoon just over 10,100 Advance by Mail Ballots were delivered to the post office for the 2026 Primary Election. If you requested to receive a ballot by mail, it should be arriving soon!

❗️ Reminder - all mail ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on election night. The quickest was for voters to return their completed mail ballots is to any of the 16 ballots drop box locations located throughout the county. Blue Valley School District is looking at affordable housing for teachers 💙

Johnson County is pricing out teachers. One district might build its own housing While still in the early stages, the housing would serve teachers and faculty who are rapidly being priced out of Johnson County.

Here are some tips from our Animal Services Division to help keep your pet safe during this weekend’s festivities:

🎇 Don’t bring your dog to a fireworks show
❌ Don’t leave your dog unattended in your back yard
🐾 If you need to walk your dog or cat after dark, make sure to use a leash.
❤️ Create a calm space for them away from exterior walls and windows. Toys, relaxing music, and soothing words help!

Fireworks are 4x louder for animals than humans, keep your furry friends in mind while celebrating this weekend!
