We're hiring! Join our team of professional individuals. We're seeking a Community Development Specialist, a Bilingual Receptionist, and a Client Services Associate.
The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Lebanon is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Community Development Specialist. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start a career in public service, grant administration, or community development.
You’ll support the implementation of local, state, and federal community development programs—especially the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. No direct experience is required, though any background in government, nonprofits, construction, or project coordination is a plus. We’re happy to train the right candidate.
This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally while working on real-world projects that make a difference in local communities.
💯 Position Type / Location / Compensation
• Full-Time
• Location: Lebanon County, PA
• Compensation: $48,000 – $52,000
• AnnuallyReports to: Executive Director
🔑 Key Responsibilities
**Program Support (CDBG and Other Grants)
Assist with the administration of community development programs
Help track budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and local officials
Grant Assistance and Reporting
Support the research and preparation of grant applications
Help maintain records and submit regular program reports
Assist in ensuring funded projects stay on schedule and meet goals
Compliance and Project Oversight
Learn to monitor basic wage regulations and program guidelines
Join staff during site visits, labor interviews, and project inspections
Keep clear, organized documentation of work and outcomes
**Community Outreach
Attend public meetings and outreach events with the team
Assist in gathering community input and sharing program information
Represent the Authority in a professional and helpful manner
Administrative Support
Attend internal and partner organization meetings
Provide general support to the Programs Director and other team members
🏫 Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in public administration, urban planning, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
-Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
-Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn new systems
-Able to read and understand guidelines and follow procedures
-Comfortable presenting or speaking in small group settings
-Able to travel to meetings and project sites as needed
-Spanish language skills are a plus
-Able to walk, stand, and occasionally lift to 25 lbs.

-Office-based with occasional site visits and public meeting participation
-Some exposure to outdoor environments during project inspections
