We received more feedback today, from a repeat customer. "This was the second time they have come out to help us determine the location of a water leak. The first time was to locate an under ground leak outside, which they did. The second time was to troubleshoot why our water bill is still high after the fix. This appears to be a separate issue. They checked everything thoroughly (twice) and helped us determine what our next steps will be. They are respectful of our time and our property. Both Brandt and James are very knowledgeable and honest. Anytime we have a water leak, they will be the people we turn to. We highly recommend without reservation."
They have a complex problem where street fluctuation causes the water meter to move back and forth. Unfortunately, the meter only reads the inward flow, not the outward. We have a special fix for that problem and are looking forward to hearing about that after they receive their next water bill.

Just wanted to share our most recent leak detection feedback from one of our customers in Lebanon, Ohio.
"Brandt and James were awesome to work with. Brandt discussed the situation with me on the phone and walked me through some preliminary diagnostics to understand what was going on. James showed up on time, explained what he was doing throughout the process, gave honest assessments and answered our many questions. The location was marked and the plumber had no problem finding and repairing the leak. They definitely made a stressful situation much easier to navigate. Highly recommended."
We love what we do and love when our customers provide feedback on our jobs.
We were called out to a leak detection at a home in the Mason West Chester area. The water leak was so huge that the local water company should have turned the water off at the meter. The meter indicated that the water leak was flowing at 15 gallons per minute!! That's the equivalent of having 3 bathtubs running full blast! You could actually hear the water roar at the inside of the foundation wall. The plumber, Ben Franklin Plumbing was able to do the excavation the next day.
I wanted to do this blog to show that even with a massive water leak such as this, you can still get some flow inside the home.
Many of my customers mention that they don’t think they have a water leak because they can’t feel any difference in water pressure. To put that into perspective, most leaks are under ½ gallon per minute (gpm). The average water service is ¾” in size and provides 20-30 gallons per minute at roughly 60-80 psi. Larger water service lines obviously allow for even more flow and pressure. So, in other words, a normal leak of 1/2 gpm or smaller isn’t able to be noticed when the main line brings in that much water.
To show this, I ran a video showing how much water was still able to flow inside a home with a 15 gpm leak. While the bathtub took a while to fill up, this still shows that a decent amount of water pressure was available at that rate of flow.
