Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, father figures, grandfathers, uncles, and mentors in our Neversink Fire Company family and throughout our community.
Today, we celebrate the men who lead by example, teach life lessons, lend a helping hand, and show what it means to serve others.
We’d especially like to recognize the fathers and father figures who answer the call when duty comes first—whether that means leaving the dinner table, stepping away from family gatherings, or missing precious moments at home to respond when someone in our community needs help. Your willingness to give time away from your own families helps keep other families safe, and that sacrifice does not go unnoticed.
We’re also grateful for the members who may not have children of their own but still make a lasting impact as role models, mentors, and the “fun uncles” who help create memories and inspire the next generation around the firehouse.
Thank you for your dedication, your service, and the example you set both at home and in the firehouse.
From all of us at Neversink Fire Company, Happy Father’s Day!

Last evening just after 9:00 PM, Lebanon County DES dispatched Engine 14, along with mutual aid companies, to the 14-07 box for a reported chimney fire.
Chief 14 responded and was advised that the fire had begun extending into the roof area. Engine 14 arrived on scene and crews quickly deployed a handline to extinguish the fire and prevent further extension.
Crews remained on scene for approximately one hour performing overhaul and ensuring all fire extension was extinguished before returning available.
Thank you to all mutual aid companies for their assistance.

Many of you just spent the other weekend at Fire Expo checking out the latest and greatest in the fire service — but did you know one of Neversink’s own once sat on the show floor? 👀🚒
13 years ago, what is now recognized as Squad 14 — then serving as Rescue-Engine 14 — was featured at the Fire Expo in Lancaster as part of the Glick Fire Equipment display. It was an incredible honor to have our apparatus showcased among some of the industry’s best.
Crazy how fast time flies — and even crazier to look back and see how much the fire service continues to evolve.
Who remembers seeing it there? 👇
