🚫 Short Sale Myth: Every Lender Has the Same Rules

This is one of the biggest misconceptions I hear.

The truth is, every lender is different.

One lender may require a property to be listed for a certain amount of time before reviewing a short sale. Another may order multiple valuations. Some require complete financial documentation upfront, while others have entirely different timelines and approval processes.

Even different investors within the same loan servicer can have different requirements.

That's why comparing your situation to someone else's rarely works. A short sale with one lender can look completely different from a short sale with another.

If you've been told you don't qualify based on someone else's experience, don't assume that's the final answer. Every file deserves its own review.
