Staff and students took a quick break today for a hall parade celebrating the recent achievements of our girls volleyball team, boys swim and dive team and individuals from our cross country teams.

The girls volleyball team competes in the semifinals on Nov. 2.

On Nov. 4, junior Madison Cross will represent the girls cross country team in Columbia, MO. Also competing in Columbia will be Jack Williams, Kaden Deain and Caleb Benton from the boys cross country team.

Boys Swimming and Diving State Championships on Nov. 9-11 will see Jack Ailshire, Davin Bachtel, Caden Bichsel, Logan Birks, Quinton Cross, Finn Hoffman, Max Klapmeyer, Matthew Loesch, Cooper Scavuzzo, Grant Tabler and Dallas York competing.

There was much to celebrate at last Friday's homecoming game including head coach Willie Horn being selected as the Kansas City Chiefs High School Coach of the Week!

Saturday's weather allowed for teams and volunteers to come together for a Kick it to Cancer kickball fundraiser benefiting Lee's Summit West student Zoe Holler.

More great wins in cross country Saturday: The girls JV and varsity teams followed up last week's success with JV finishing first and varsity second at the Joe Schrag Invite, while the boys JV and varsity teams placed second at the Ray-Pec Invitational.
