How do you top a great morning at church and lunch with friends?
You go knock doors, sweat a little in the humidity, and meet voters. đź’™
Grateful for another day of conversations with neighbors about what matters most and how we can make our community better.

Thank you, Lakewood, for being such a great place to knock doors today. đź’™
Just short of 7 hours visiting with neighbors about what matters most and how we can make our community better.
Conversations at the door matter — and I’m grateful for every one.

Another great day in House District 30 meeting new friends and talking about a better future for Missouri.
I heard it clearly: people want government that works for everyone — not just the well-connected few.
Amendment 5, the so-called “Sales Tax Modification,” is a perfect example of the wrong direction. Sponsored by Speaker of the House Jon Patterson, this plan would shift taxes from payday to everyday — meaning many Missourians will end up paying more when they visit the mechanic, call a plumber, get a haircut, and possibly even at the gas pump. As if gas prices aren't high enough.
They aren’t being honest about what this could mean: Missouri’s sales tax would have to increase significantly (up to 3x) to make up for reducing or eliminating the income tax. For working families, seniors, and everyday Missourians, that is not relief — it is a tax shift.
This is why House District 30 matters.
We need leadership that listens, tells the truth, and fights for working families — not policies that benefit the wealthy while raising costs on everyone else.
I need your help to flip this seat and bring about the change our district and state desperately need.
Volunteer. Donate. Share. Talk to your neighbors.
Together, we can do this.

Elect Kevin Grover Elect Kevin for Missouri State Representative for Mo House District 30
Today Governor Kehoe is attempting to circumvent the will of Missouri voters by placing two major constitutional amendment issues on the August primary ballot.
He knows these measures would face an even tougher challenge in November with higher voter turnout and could impact several GOP candidates.
We now have 74 days to educate voters about:
❗ Amendment 4 — a threat to Missouri’s Initiative Petition process. This would make it almost impossible for citizen-led amendments to pass, even when a majority of Missouri voters support them.
❗ Amendment 5 — the expansion of sales taxes. This plan would give lawmakers 5 years of unchecked authority to raise sales and use taxes, including taxes on services, with the goal of reducing the income tax.
When people learn how these proposals could affect everyday Missourians, many are shocked they’ve advanced this far.
That’s what the current legislature — with a Republican supermajority — is doing.
That’s why these next 74 days matter. Conversations matter. Education matters. Participation matters.

There’s no better way to hear from voters than meeting them at their front door.
I never take those conversations for granted. Listening to the people of — their concerns, hopes, and priorities — is the most important part of this work.
Thank you for welcoming me onto your front porches and into your conversations. đź’™
And after a great day connecting with the community, there’s no better way to celebrate than some custard! 🍦

🚪 **What a day knocking doors in Lee’s Summit!**
I may not have hit as many doors as I wanted, but the conversations I had mattered. People are paying attention—and they’re ready to talk and share their concerns!
Here’s what I heard over and over:
• The rising cost of everyday life
• The importance of supporting our public schools
• Ending the chaos in Jeff City
• And most of all—the proposed ballot issue to eliminate the income tax and replace it with a broad sales tax
That last one came up again and again.
When **90% of seniors would see a net tax increase**, it raises a serious question about who this plan is really designed to benefit—and it’s not the folks who’ve worked their whole lives to retire with dignity.
These conversations matter. I’m listening, and I’ll keep showing up.

These charts highlight the critical need to share and educate as many people as possible about these bills. Be a part of the solution by informing those you know. Together we will defeat this regressive tax! 📊 educating 🤝 solution
DEEPLY UNPOPULAR | It's important to highlight the fact that 3 out of 4 Missourians polled do not approve of the current plan Republican politicians are pushing to eliminate 2/3rds of Missouri's revenue and replace it with new and expanded sales taxes.
It's also important to note that such a fact has never discouraged the entrenched, compromised power of Missouri's Republican establishment from enacting a state policy on the rest of us.
The GOP Sales Tax Hike resolution is set to be debated again in the Missouri House where it is likely to pass. HOWEVER, there's still time to call your state representative and tell them to VOTE "NO" on H.J.R. 173 & 174.

Another great day in District 30 connecting with our community. đź’™
I’m hearing it clearly:
✔️ Respect the will of the voters
✔️ Support public education and labor
✔️ Protect the initiative petition process
These conversations matter — and they’re shaping the path forward.

A great turnout in support of IAM Local 778 as they advocate for fair wages, work-life balance, and safe working conditions. Proud to see our community show up including several other union groups.
