This week’s Throwback Thursday celebrates graduation season with a look back at commencement announcements from schools that helped shape the history of education in and around Leesburg.
Featured in this week's post are graduation announcements from Leesburg High School (1929), Lincoln High School (1922), Douglass High School (1968), and Manassas Industrial School (1945), which was attended by some Leesburg students.
Take a trip through local history and see how generations of students marked this important milestone.
In honor of Preservation Month, we sat down with Library Director Laura Christiansen to explore a few historic items related to the library's 100-plus-year history.
Thank you to Thomas Snyder from for completing conservation work on the original library desks earlier in 2026.
