Recently went out to Anaheim for a gig on Saturday. While there, I accidentally flew my family out and went to Disneyland, California Adventure and the beach. I hate it when those kinds of accidents happen.
Anyway, here is a photo of the pier from Newport Beach CA on Monday night.

This photo is a special and sacred photo for me, that I humbly would like to share with those who have never been, will go, or have already been and want to remember.
This is Omaha Beach in Normandy France. Beautiful, holy ground.

Half a Chair - A scene in Amsterdam

Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is known for it's elaborate canal system and bicycles. This was a must on my "Places to Go" list, and it was as awesome as I imagined. I have discovered that staying out of the Red Light District while looking for cool night time photography shots, proved more difficult than I expected. Some of the best looking canals and buildings resided right in the heart of the Red Light District. Oh, and you'll be shocked at the number of bicycles. They're. Ever. Where.

One of the most amazing parts of the Keukenhof Gardens, was just how vibrant and brilliant the colors in the flowers were.
I actually had to desaturated the reds a little bit, to help tone it down some. I had also used a circular polarizer to help reduce unwanted reflections on the flowers petals, helping the colors truly stand out.
If you get the chance, make sure you go see them early. They are open for something like, 6 weeks out of the year. If you're too late, they've cut down many of the flowers already. If you're too early, many of them haven't bloomed yet, so it can be tricky planning it.
Also note that many of the tour buses leave by ~4pm, so stay late and take an Uber home instead. It seemed like a good 70% of the crowds left between 4-5pm, and we essentially had the place to ourselves!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to show you this photo. When I took this shot, I was completely thrilled and giddy. I knew that I couldn't do a sneak peak until I had sat down and actually edited my shot, because I wanted it to be just right. This is the black and white version, I feel is a bit more romantic this way. This was shot right as the street lights were turning on, and I had to use a filter to drag the shutter even longer, as there was still a fair amount of light still in the sky.

Just another fun shot from the streets of Paris, right next to The Louvre. The buildings there are just gorgeous.
