Cedar is referred to as "Tree of Life" in Latin. Burning cedar wood has been used for purification, healing & protection, for a very long time in human history. It is said to drive away negative energy & act as an air purifier too. Cedar is a very pleasant, calming & soothing aroma.

A breakdown of the scents:
-Red Cedar is an aromatic, woodsy scent. It is a soothing scent just like taking a walk through a forest.
-The smell of clove is intense, warm & pungent. It has a woody & sweet smell that goes well w/ cedar.
-We all know the smell of leather. The tannins in leather are often described as "oaky" or "woodsy".

These 3 scents go perfect together. Each one compliments the others w/out overpowering them. The smell of cedar can't be mistaken, clove gives a lil' spice & leather gives a softness to this candle that makes it a very relaxing scent. It is an excellent candle for the outdoor enthusiast!

Tips to Make Your Candle Last Longer:

-BURN FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR - The top layer of wax needs to liquify or you may get tunneling. Tunneling is when the candle burns right down the center & does not melt all the wax.

-TRIM THE WICK - The longer the wick, the bigger the flame. The bigger the flame, the faster the wax melts & burns.

-DON'T BURN MORE THAN 4 HOURS - You will get extra carbon build up on the wick causing it to "mushroom". When a wick mushrooms, the flame will be bigger & will melt your wax faster.

-USE A CANDLE SNUFFER - Blowing out your candle will cause excess smoke, wax spray & can also bury the wick. Using a snuffer will also keep the wick clean.

AVOID PLACING BY OPEN AIR - if you place your candle by an open window, it can cause the candle to burn unevenly. It also could be dangerous if something were to catch fire!
