🚂 Today was one for the books! Thank you to everyone who came out today to celebrate Big Boy rolling through our little downtown! Days like today are perfect reflections of why I love this community so much- the absolute joy and excitement was palpable all morning!

To everyone who braved the line, gave us words of encouragement, and to all the new faces in the shop today- THANK YOU! We went through 5 gallons of refreshers, 6 gallons of lemonade, over 50 pastries, and we lost track after 80 lbs of ice. This was a marathon of a day, but so fun and worth it! Lemont Downtown

Big Boy No. 4014 is the world's largest operating steam locomotive, and the only one still in operation! For this momentous occasion in our lovely Downtown, Folklore Coffee will be celebrating with 2 one-day-only specials this Friday, July 17th!

We have great window views of the train station & some patio seating for viewing, but we're just across the street from the Lemont train station so stop in, grab a drink, and watch this great train roll on by!

This Saturday, July 11th, we will be serving a one-day-only menu in collaboration with in honor of their upcoming musical, Grease!

These stories are filled with people & creatures who exude strength, determination, growth, and community. As we celebrate the 250th birthday of America, I hope we all continue to bring these attributes to life 🇺🇸

This Saturday, July 4th, we will be closed in observation of the 4th of July!

We will have normal hours on July 3rd (6:30a-4p) and July 5th (7a-3p). We hope you have a happy and safe holiday!

Starting tomorrow at 7a until it runs out, 1 drink per order will be free due to the generosity of one of our favorite regulars! On Good Friday, so many people donated to the "train" that we ended up with almost $300 in "pay it forward" coffee orders!
