KC Restaurant Week highlights, part 2:

The blondie with peanut butter ice cream and blackberry compote at Club 27

I like charcuterie, but I get burnt out on it pretty quick sometimes. So to jazz it up, I created this charcuter-sushi at home! Cheese, meat, green onion, and lemon orzo rolled in prosciutto with a dollop of jalapeño jelly as mock caviar.

I forgot to snap a photo, but The Mad Greek Traveling Taverna Food Truck is out at the Olathe Art fair today with killer gyros, loaded with ingredients. I enjoyed one on behalf of my good friend Ben DeLong who isn’t in town! Come on out to Olathe for some great food and maybe a new piece of art for your home.
