One of the greatest accomplishments of my shaping career has been to work with Jay on designing his boards. Jay made me feel proud to be a shaper & it was always a joy to constantly see pictures of him tearing down the wave face on one of my boards. We will all miss that big smile, his incredible level of stoke, & the dedication he put into the sport he loved so much. Thank you Jay for the opportunity to be your shaper. Now you are finally free to surf the eternal waves with all the great surfers that have left this earth. Rest easy my friend, may we see each other again.
A great video about Jay & Team Surfgimp, making boards for Jay has been the most rewarding experience of my shaping career! I am truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to work with such an inspirational surfer!
