Update Your Safety Manual - MWUA 06/13/2025

Upcoming Training: Update Your Safety Manual
December 2, 2025 (Lewiston, ME)
December 3, 2025 (Old Town, ME)
December 4, 2025 (Caribou, ME)

Are you responsible for updating your plant’s safety manual? Did you know generic safety training no longer
meets OSHA’s and the Maine Department of Labor’s (DOL) standards for employee safety training? An
employer must now provide safety training that is specific to their facility’s equipment, chemicals, and
employees’ work activities. Revising your safety manual to come into compliance with the new standards can be
a daunting task, especially if it hasn’t been updated recently. You can jumpstart this task by bringing your safety
manual to this 1-day, judgement-free, in-person workshop. We will cover certain safety standards that must be
included in most plans, discuss training employees on the safety policies, and review options for assembling your
safety manual using templates and forms.

Update Your Safety Manual - MWUA The Maine Water Utilities Association (MWUA) was organized in 1925 by a group of water superintendents who recognized the need to meet on a regular basis, share information and ideas and lend mutual support. The group met regularly and became increasingly involved in matters affecting water utilitie...

September 9, 2025 Biddeford, ME
September 10, 2025 Waterville, ME
September 11, 2025 Ellsworth, ME

Math can be confusing, frustrating, and just plain difficult, especially if you haven’t used it in a long time or don’t use it every day. This one, in person, “3-D Math” course will help water and wastewater operators “visualize” math problems by moving them from a 2-dimensional diagram on a piece of paper to a 3-dimensional (3-D) experience by holding them in your hands. Using measuring a tape and other hands-on props, you will experience math that makes sense and translates to performing calculations on your certification exams and on the job.

3-D Math for Water and Wastewater Operators - MWUA September 9th in Biddeford, September 10th in Waterville, and September 11th in Ellsworth. Click here for the flyer. Register here for 3-D Math. Math can be confusing, frustrating, and just plain difficult, …
