So glad we got to put some fresh tires on these old school Enkei wheels which are era matching for this Honda Accord LX. The old tires were dry rotted and showing wires and had been sitting for years off of the vehicle.
We take every precaution and steps imaginable to take the utmost care of our customers wheels regardless if they’re the stock oem wheels or after market wheels. Our sockets are coated inside and out in a protective layer so that we don’t scar the lug holes in the wheels or damage the lug nuts them selves. All clamps on the tire changer are layered in tape to prevent the metal from biting into the wheels no matter if we are clamping the inside of the barrels or externally clamping onto the lips of the wheels. Also our metal spoons or bars are sleeved in nylon and also wrapped to prevent any scratching of the wheels while dismounting the tires. We even have hard, durable nylon duck heads that prevent any damage to the lips of the wheels while rotating on the turntable of the tire machine. Once we dismount the tires we then clean the beads of the barrels so that the new tires go on and seal perfectly. The lubricant we use during the dismounting and mounting process is just a simple dish soap and water mixture we use so that we aren’t leaving grease on the wheels or tires. We may not be perfect but we will do everything in our power to take the most care we can when working on anyone’s vehicle because at the end of the day we are huge car enthusiasts and love the machines we drive.
