Meet your groomer

My name is Lura Zornes and I am the Owner and Groomer of The Devoted Paw LLC. I am a fully licensed and Insured business owner that strives to provide a professional and convenient house call pet grooming service to your best friend. I have always loved animals and the unique relationship that we develop with them. I started grooming 5 years ago and have come to love each one of the dogs and cats that I have been lucky enough to serve. I believe when providing a grooming service, it is important to show the upmost care and love while listening to the needs only the pet can express through their behavior.

I received most of training at a large animal care center in Lexington, Kentucky. As well as additional education through pet care conferences. I found true love working with veterinarians and the animals that had special needs and bad histories with grooming. There is no better feeling of accomplishment than when I can gain the trust of an animal, who otherwise had a history of distrust, aggression or even sedation.

I had the idea to open The Devoted Paw’s unique business style because I wanted to take what I was doing at the animal hospital even further. I wanted to eliminate the environmental stimulus that is created when pets are exposed to other animal’s smells, sounds, and anxieties. I wanted to create the calmest and less stressful environment to make grooming something that even the most distrustful animal can enjoy.

​I am proud to say that I follow Fear Free training techniques that I learned working in a veterinarian environment. Only positive based training techniques will be used to help correct undesired behavior and always including lots of healthy treats! I would be honored if I can be a part of your pet’s life.
