LEXDANCE Again

This Sunday, March 15, 2026, please join us in welcoming the lovely and talented Cathya Franko who will be teaching us SALSA, a dance of exuberance and joy in the rhythm of music. Here is Cathya's beautiful bio in her own words.

"Twenty-eight years ago, I moved to the United States from Peru. Becoming a dance instructor didn't just shape my path, it revealed my purpose. Through movement, I learned to express myself without fear, to feel my emotions fully, and to truly connect with others. If it weren't for dance, I'm not sure what my destiny would have been. I believe movement is a universal language, one that unites, inspires and transforms differences into shared experiences. And through dance, I finally found where I belong."

What to expect:
Doors open at 6:00 and the lesson begins at 6:30. Dancing follows the lesson. DJ Dave will have the music going so come early and get some extra practice time on the floor.

True to form, Scott Fisher dished up a bit of challenge in his Hustle lesson this last Sunday. While always dedicating a portion of the lesson to the basics to engage all levels of learners, Scott never fails to push us a bit with less common footwork and patterns, often with flashy quick turns and sure placement for leads. We all love a little challenge, so we appreciate Scott so very much!

This Sunday, March 1, 2026, we want to welcome back Scott Fisher! Scott will be teaching the hustle, a fast paced, upbeat partner dance that originated in the 1970's, and we know we will have lots of fun! Scott specializes in country dance and West Coast, but he can teach a lot more. Scott is one of the founding members of Lex Dance and remains one of our strongest supporters. He has competed successfully with his dance partner in country dance at UCWDC regional and world events.

If you haven't already signed up for your 2026 memberships, please do so for only $20.00. In addition, we are selling 10 week passes (punch cards) to members for $45.00 and nonmembers $50.00.

This Sunday, February 22, 2026, we are so pleased to welcome Wes Bratcher, who will be teaching Bolero. Wes is a certified Fred Astaire instructor who teaches ballroom, country, rhythm and West Coast Swing along with international style Latin. Wes and his DANCEVILLE students compete in Danceport and are beautiful on the dancefloor. Wes and his family can be seen around the area supporting each other in various sports and events. In his spare time Wes is a real estate agent; check out Wes the Realtor.

This Sunday, February 15, 2026, please join us in welcoming the beautiful and talented Abigail Roach, who will be teaching the Foxtrot, a smooth, progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. It will be a fun evening with great instruction and dancing.

Abigail co-owns Bluegrass Ballroom, where she and her husband, Andrew, teach weekly classes and parties. They are passionate about their local dance community and provide high-quality instruction for their students. Andrew and Abigail are active competitors in the West Coast Swing circuit and enjoy traveling across the world to pursue their love of dance together. Recently, Abigail and Andrew placed 3rd in the 2025 NASDE Rising Star Tour. Abigail is a former Disney Entertainment Cast Member and has performed with the Charleston Ballet and Burklyn Ballet Theatre.
