Do you know where your fire sprinkler control valve is?

Is it inside your building, on an exterior wall, a post indicator valve by the street, or an outside stem and yoke in the sprinkler vault?

In the event of a frozen pipe burst, knowing the exact location of your fire sprinkler control valve is crucial. When seconds count, being able to quickly inform the responding fire department can reduce water damage and speed up the response.

If you’re responsible for a commercial property, or know someone who is, we’re offering a free fire protection site survey to help locate your control valve and other fire safety equipment.

Feel free to reach out to AAA Fire & Security for more information.

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and we’re looking forward to warmer weather ahead!

Below freezing temperatures are going to be sticking around for a while. Be sure to check on your fire sprinkler systems. Draining low points and proper heat in areas with water inside the piping is crucial to avoid frozen and busted sprinkler piping. If you find your self in a situation with a frozen or leaking sprinkler piping feel free to give us a call for service.

As colder weather approaches this weekend, AAA Fire & Security would like to remind everyone to maintain your fire sprinkler systems and backflow preventers. Proper winter care is crucial to prevent freezing and ensure safety. Here are some key tips:

1. Drain Low Point Drains: Frequently drain any low point drains in your system.
2. Ensure Adequate Heating in Riser Rooms: Riser rooms should be properly heated to prevent freezing.
3. Verify Heating for Wet Sprinkler Systems: Ensure all areas where water flows through pipes are heated above 40°F. This includes any sections where wet sprinkler system piping enters the building.

If you experience a sprinkler leak due to frozen pipes, don’t hesitate to contact us for any needed service repairs. Stay safe and warm this winter!
