Leadership LEAP

Today was a great day in Jackson County!

The morning kicked off touring Jackson Energy headquarters and learning about how their teams serve co-op members and the efforts during outages and emergencies. After that we had a panel with Southeast Kentucky Economic Development Corporation and FOCUS on economic development.

After a delicious lunch we heard from Judy Schmidt about the efforts, headed to Flat Lick Falls Recreational Park to check out the facilities.

We rounded out our day with a discussion on rural infrastructure with the PRTC - Peoples Rural Telephone Cooperative and Jackson Energy.

Today was the final official activity for the 2019 class of Leadership LEAP. We had an amazing and fun adventure testing out our team-building and leadership skills at Countdown Games in Lexington. Half of our squad escaped their castle under the wire while the other half just ran out of time and remained "cursed" in the Pharoah's tomb. Regardless, we all had a ball!
